My wife Aru and me had a lovely baby boy Adal in august 2022 and even we love him to death it has been, and still is a very challenging, demanding and really tough time, for both of us and specially for me as father.

If Adal, my little baby boy, could talk, he would write me this letter

Dear daddy,

I know that when I grew up in mom's womb, you didn't feel me, I know that you were a mere spectator from the outside, and you only saw how every day I was getting a little bigger. But I listened to you and I knew that you were there. I not only listened to my mother, but also felt her, and I know that you were not inside her to know it, but inside her, many things happened...

One day she was sad, and the next day happy, she had many fears and I think that sometimes she felt very insecure, she told me, because she talked with me a lot. Sometimes she was upset and she didn't know why. Many times I knew that she was going to make you pay for it and that perhaps she would drive you a little crazy with her things, but daddy, after a while, she would go to the bathroom to cry alone ... please forgive her.

Mom seemed like a whirlwind of emotions as she created me, her body was changing, and this didn't always make her feel good. Mom has had a hard time having me, and even though she's happy for me, I know it hasn't been easy for her.

Daddy, you have to be strong and patient, mom needs you, and now more than ever she needs your unconditional love, that love that you experienced when I was born. Be patient, I know that it is also difficult for you to understand her mood swings, and those things that you do not like so much, but I promise you, that mom will be the same as always, the woman you loved so much, only now, she is going through a difficult time.

I ask you to take good care of mom, don't leave her aside and don’t blame her for her always looking out for me, and forgetting you... she needs you, even if she doesn't tell you so, she's tired, her chest hurts, she feels chubby and has thousands of emotions in her head . It has taken me 9 months inside her and she has given you the blessing of being father, please, take care of her, so that she can take good care of me.

And if at any time you feel like you can't take it anymore, seek help, and if you feel that she doesn't pay much attention to you anymore, or that she tells you things you don't like, forgive her, she loves you with all her heart, only now she doesn't have the bandwidth and tools to prove it to you.

Tell her that you are very proud of her, that she is doing very well, that you understand her mood swings, and that she will also have your unconditional love...

I will be eternally grateful...

With all my love Adal
