Personal Branding: Build Your Personal Brand

You are probably good at marketing the company you work for. But how do you respond if you are told to market yourself? You should have the answer ready before you use it.

Be aware of your market value as an an employee and senior manager.

Your personal brand is an important resource for the further development of your career. We live in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) world with constant and recurrent economical recessions, lay-offs, downsizing, reorgs and financial instability forcing people to leave their jobs every year and in bigger numbers.

In line with increased digitalization, stronger cost pressure and changing economical conditions, it is increasingly demanding for employees to achieve theirs and the company's goals. A change of management is in some cases used as a means of achieving rapid change in addition to new competence in top management.

Social media has opened the door to building brands in completely new ways. Today, top managers are expected to embrace trends and attack the complex challenges that today's market has to offer.

Personal branding is an important part of both employees and top manager's career strategy. Every one has a personal brand, which must be looked after and further developed with regard to both the company's and the individual's reputation.

From moving into management to leading as the organizational executive, transitions can be lonely and isolating. When you don’t have a lot of clarity of where to go or which direction to point yourself in, I will work with you on developing your relationship skills beyond the product. I will be an active listener that has had many of the responsibilities you do.

Together, we will enhance your resiliency by looking beyond design. I will support you when you feel overwhelmed by the new factors of your role. Together, we will build you up to do the hard parts of leadership with more confidence and clarity.

Mastermind programs

I host and run 2 small, exclusive and top level mastermind cohort programs: one for Design Leaders looking to become good leaders and executives, and not only managers, and another for “Facilitators” looking to level up their facilitator skills, career and business, with only 10 talented people per mastermind program.

Success is hard, you feel alone and misunderstood by both your managers, peers and fellow colleagues, and often it feels like you won’t reach your destination. To get to the levels of functioning you seek, you need knowledge, support and the right network.
